Looking to 2009

Looking forward to 2009 who do you lot see coming out on top with what we know so far, i mean teams like Honda and Williams have surely got to be in with a shot but would you really want to count out the current big three teams to make slip ups?

Also with this KERS coming into play isnt it going to be regulated by a single party like the ECU's this year? or will it be a free for all like the old days?
If it is going to be every man for itself there really could be major changes in where people are sitting on grid this year!

After how close this year has/is turning out to be i personaly cant wait Smile

Re: Looking to 2009

This year is close, and from the fans p.o.v i think thats always a good thing. Next year, you have the situation where they all start with a blank sheet of paper, and much like 1998 when there were regulation changes, i reckon one team will get it SO right that they leave everyone else in their wake. In 1998 it was McLaren (lapping the whole field on their way to a 1-2 in Melbourne), next year i'm not sure... but i think the general heirachy will remain the same... just the gaps between will widen...

Will the teams all still have to use the same engines? It's a bit shit to have some of them seriously down on power. (I'm looking at you Honda)

Re: Looking to 2009

Force India shall be the team that gets it bang-on next year and I fully expect both their drivers to lap the rest of the field at least twice in Melbourne.  Wink

Re: Looking to 2009

I am hoping that Alonso has a better year than this year, that Kimi continues to be competitive and that Heikki becomes more competitive.

Overall I think that McLaren and Ferrari will be the team to beat. Renault and Red Bull will become more competitive and hopefully the gap that the top top teams have over BMW will be reduced too.
