This afternoon the WMSC meet to discuss Ferraris apparent use of team orders at the German GP.

Hill thinks they shouldn't receive a penalty.

Ferrari insist they haven't done anything wrong.

Hopefully common sense will prevail and come Monza we'll have some real tactical racing as team orders will be legal.

Yep, if it's all about the quick wins then having a gear stick has got to be far simpler and probably cheaper than F-ducts and movable wings that you can only use at certain times etc.

ok sure, but we're talking about making f1 more exciting here.  manual H pattern gearboxes mean mistakes are easier to make.  think like not quite getting it into gear properly coming out of a hairpin and losing a bit of momentum, then the guy behind gets a better exit and can hopefully make an overtake.  things like f-ducts and moveable wings and whatever are massively expensive to develop but gearbox gates can't really be messed about with!?

When I play F1 games I tend to choose an auto box mainly due to laziness. But when I choose manual gear change I tend to be slower to begin with but faster with tume...

That Peckham terminator video is weird - I can watch it embedded in the page not logged in, but if I click through to YouTubeto watch it I have to log in because of offensive content.

Manuals are no doubt more fun but where i can i always choose an auto box, its just such a nicer and more relaxing drive

Depends on the context - if I was racing I'd say that auto/semi-auto would be for fun. Then you can concentrate more on the actual racing. Obviously you'd get used to racing with a manual, but I still see it as just an extra burden.

As with many other tracks they will use temporary grandstands.

There's only 1 grandstand for the whole track

The track looks very bland... And so much work to do in the next month!!

A bit of paint, a few tyre walls, some new gravel and astro turf. It's all cosmetic stuff.

Even some of the top GP2 are only a few seconds off 107% pace with F1 chassis, engines and tyres how hard could it be to make the step up?
