Prepare for our new contributor...

We're rapidly racing through the 2009 season, and there's plenty to be talked about. The arrival and subsequent dominance of Brawn and his team, the possible 'breakaway' championship for 2010, Ferrari and McLarens fall from grace and the fight amongst the Force India cars for 2008 World Champion Lewis Hamilton. We at GrandPrix Magazine are enjoying what's turned out to be an upside-down season, and we've lined up one of F1's most passionate, revered, and illusive columnists to provide his take on a superb season of racing. We aren't yet ready to reveal his full identity, but we will have EXCLUSIVE access to his thoughts and opinions of the 2009 season as he makes his return to following a sport he temporarily fell out of love with after the departure of his hero, Michael Schumacher. Now with his passion reinvigorated and a new hero to follow, expect some emotional and enthralling accounts as he reacquaints himself with his first love, Formula One!

BMW & KERS

Despite being its biggest supported in the face of attempts to ban the new for 2009 kinetic energy recovery system (KERS), 'Pete_f1' informs us that the BMW team will discontinue both the use and development of their version of the system, in favor of chasing aerodynamic improvements. A wise decision? Give us your thoughts...

Jacques is back?

With 3 new teams joining the 2010 F1 grid, it seems 1997 World Champion Jacques Villeneuve is flirting with the idea of a suprising return to the field. After being dropped by BMW in favour of Kubica midway through 2006, Jacques has rarely been seen in F1 circles. 'Oonga_Boonga' is hoping for a return, if only to give him some laughter during the weekends. Let us know what you think...

Jenson Hill?

'mollymorals' is getting all thoughtful as Button chases down the 2009 drivers championship. If he is successful, will he be equal to Damon Hill in not only the crap facial hair market, but also in terms of being a 'distinctly average' F1 champion? Strong opinion to hold, what's yours?...

In other news...

Bad week for: Formula One
18.06.09 'Sam While' broke the news to GrandPrix Magazine users that FOTA had announced their intention to start a new racing series starting in 2010. 'Skies' thinks Max Mosley should step down as FIA President for the sake of Formula One, while 'jj_bowe' is skeptical the move will actually happen. Let us know your thoughts...
Good week for: RedBull Racing
19.06.09Redbull took several modifications to Silverstone with the hope of catching the Brawn cars. 'Pete_f1' questions the aesthetics of it all, but the results on the track spoke for themselves, a 1-2 for Redbull in Brawn's back yard, superb!
Looking to 2009
12. 07. With regulation changes set to come into force in 2009 including a return to slick tyres, and the introduction of KERS, the grid could be turned on its head. 'Lapworth' can't wait to see who comes out on top, and neither can we!
